When you are grieving, it can be difficult to take care of our basic daily needs, therefore grief counseling through Pray Funeral Home’s Aftercare Counseling is more important than ever before. With the additional anxiety surrounding today’s COViD19 situation, many grieving people are searching for help to cope.
Grief Counseling Made Easy
It may seem hard to seek out services for our mental and emotional well-being. When a person realizes they need grief support, it can be confusing about how to start or where to go. Pray Funeral Home’s aftercare programs were designed to make it as easy as possible for grieving families to find support, whether this is immediately following their loss, or even several months to years after.
A result from providing such open, consistent, and compassionate grief support is that an individual can normalize the grieving process. Losing a loved one can significantly shape the remainder of our lives by creating changes and additional unexpected lifestyle losses.
Acknowledge Help is Needed
It is important to acknowledge when these changes become too much for a person to bear alone, and when an understanding ear is needed. Although we all experience our grief in unique ways, there is so much to be gained from hearing and holding one another’s stories.
Honored to Provide Vital Resources
My name is Reid, and I am the grief counselor through Pray Funeral Home. I am honored to be a part of Pray’s aftercare services, as these are such vital resources for families after losing a loved one. At Pray Funeral Home, we offer free, regular monthly grief counseling group meetings for anyone in our area who has experienced a loss and is in need of grief support. The regular meeting schedule provides a bit of structure to families when things may feel inconsistent or disorganized. It also lends a sense of community with others who understand the complex emotions one feels following a loss.
We offer a one-time, private meeting at no charge. This can be used however one may need. Some may want a space to talk about their loved one. Some may need time to process the changes loss has created in their own lives. Others may want help finding a mental health professional for consistent, one-on-one support.
